OWEN

From Chuncheon, Gangwon. He played cello for eight years from the age of eight. At sixteen, in a Lamb of God live video, he heard John Campbell's bass lock into the kick drum as one body and shake the floor, and he put the cello down. His fingerstyle today, plucking the strings with his fingers instead of a bow, still carries the hand shape of his cello years.

강원 춘천 출신. 여덟 살부터 8년 동안 첼로를 했다. 열여섯 살에 Lamb of God 라이브 영상에서 John Campbell의 베이스가 킥 드럼과 한 몸으로 붙어 바닥을 울리는 걸 듣고 첼로를 내려놓았다. 활 대신 손가락으로 줄을 뜯는 지금의 핑거 피킹엔 첼로 시절의 손 모양이 남아 있다.

In late 2016, Of Mice & Men's vocalist Austin Carlile left the band for health reasons. Watching bassist Aaron Pauley take on lead vocals without ever putting down his bass, and hold the band together, OWEN became sure that the bass is the instrument that carries a band. A few months later he got on a bus from Chuncheon to Seoul.

2016년 말, Of Mice & Men의 보컬 Austin Carlile이 건강 문제로 밴드를 떠났다. 베이시스트 Aaron Pauley가 베이스를 놓지 않은 채 메인 보컬까지 떠안고 밴드를 지켜내는 걸 보며, OWEN은 베이스가 밴드를 받치는 악기라는 걸 확신했다. 그리고 몇 달 뒤 춘천에서 서울행 버스를 탔다.

In 2017 he came into BLAKE's shop to buy bass strings and joined on the spot. The quietest of the five, and the heaviest. The floor shakes before you hear him.

2017년 BLAKE의 샵에 베이스 줄을 사러 왔다가 그 자리에서 합류했다. 다섯 중 가장 조용하고, 가장 무겁다. 들리기 전에 바닥이 먼저 울린다.
